This fun series helps children develop and practise their auditory and visual discrimination skills using the interactive whiteboard or computer through fun games, activities, stories and rhymes.

Phase 1 Phonics

Six CD-ROMS provide coverage of the National Strategy Letters and Sounds Document (Phase 1, Aspects 1 – 6) using fun, engaging, interactive activities designed to boost auditory and visual discrimination skills.

This series covers topics that support the wider Early Learning Goals, so you can slot the resources straight into your teaching plans.

The series consist of six CD-ROMs:

  • At Home (Disc 1)
  • On the Farm (Disc 2)
  • At the Seaside (Disc 3)
  • On the Road (Disc 4)
  • At the Party (Disc 5)
  • In the Jungle (Disc 6)

Each CD-ROM contains the following:

  • An introduction
  • A talking story
  • 4 activities developing listening and sound differentiation skills
  • 2 activities developing visual discrimination skills
  • Songs and rhymes
  • A sound bank
  • Printable activity sheets 

All activities and printable worksheets have two, differentiated levels providing support for less able pupils and a challenge for children with higher-level skills.

Each Disc has an accompanying Teacher’s Book providing a guide through every activity, links to the Letters and Sounds document, plus great ideas for extension activities!
