The Smart Learning Early Years ICT Series provides 5 components in every unit:
- Three introductions per topic – providing exciting, interesting and fun stimulus material. These are delivered through:

ICT demonstrations
- Interactive practice activity – a ready-to-use, fun activity providing children with the opportunity to practise the skills they have been taught.
- Interactive extension activity – providing children with extended practice, reinforcement and consolidation.
- Non-computer activity – providing work that can be carried out away from the computer, linking back to their computer-based work.
- Teacher’s Book – providing a guide through every activity, linking to national curriculum objectives and packed with great ideas for using the activities and downloadable resources.
