BETT Awards 2010 The BETT Awards is an annual scheme that highlights exemplar digital products intended for the education marketplace. The BETT Awards define exemplar products as those which are fit for imitation, or a model. The awards also recognise outstanding education sector products and learning solutions. Judges review the entries based on these criteria, including design, cost-effectiveness, support of higher order skills and effective learning and teaching styles. For the technical evaluation, focus is on the robustness and resilience of each product, and its accessibility for those with specific needs. The BETT Awards is committed to five key principles:

The judges commented that Smart Learning’s Interactive Literacy “is very good at delivering literacy and the development of cross-curricular sections, while also helping to embed ICT into the curriculum”. Shortlisted: Early Years Solutions – Early Years ICT Series (Disc 1) Disc one of Smart Learning’s Early Years ICT Series was also short-listed for a BETT Award in the ‘Early Years Solutions’ category in 2007. Liz Nuttall, Director of Smart Learning commented: “We were delighted to be short-listed for this year’s ‘Early Year’s Solutions’ BETT award. Recognition of our Early Years ICT product has inspired us to develop a wider range of exciting resources for younger children.” |
